Karen Head has been riding horses since the age
of four, and has a wide range of horse
experience that includes teaching horsemanship
and working on a cattle ranch. She has a
master's degree in Creative Arts Education from
Rutgers University, where she specialized in
enhancing individual creativity through
expressive and experiential work. She has EAGALA
level one certification and has studied
horsemanship with John Lyons and Richard Shrake.
Karen is an Approved Epona Instructor, having
completed an extensive apprenticeship with Linda
Kohanov and Kathleen Barry Ingram of the Epona
Center in Sonoita, Arizona. Karen is continuing
her training at the Epona Center to become an
Advanced Approved Instructor.
